When approached with an opportunity of establishing a residential respite home business in the community, I knew it would be a rewarding experience. I am excited to have worked on creating this business, to manage it and work towards future business development.

In this new journey of mine, I’ll be involved in all areas of operations to provide the highest quality of care to our clients and their family.

I began my career over 26 years ago and worked in various industries including Health Care. Over the course of my career, I’ve been employed in management roles including Human Resources Management, Occupational and Non-Occupational Disability Management. My passion has always been to help those in need and assist families with compassionate service, guide them through hurdles, and bring positivity and happiness in their lives.

At Butterfly Dream’s my commitment and passion is to serve our clients with the utmost respect and care they deserve, in addition to creating a family friendly and respectful work culture for our employees.

My journey with nursing started at a young age. My mother being a nurse has really been one of my biggest inspirations. She had always taught me to be kind and treat others how I would like to be treated. Health and Wellness has always been my passion. Rehabilitation, Sports, Promotion of a healthy lifestyle so one can enjoy a long, happy and healthy life. Treating people who need care as individuals and enabling them to maintain the maximum possible level of independence, choice and control over their own lives is one of the main goals for my patients and clients alike that matches perfectly with Butterfly respite’s Home mission and vision I started my career at the Population Research Laboratory from 2010-2014 center for social science research at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. I have been a part of Studies with Health Quality Council of Alberta (HQCA), Athabasca University, Metis Studies and Athabasca School of Nursing. After being off from Nursing practice for an extended period of time, I started on a refresher Program and upon re-entering nursing practice started to work as a Nurse in Occupational Health safety. In 2020 at the height of the pandemic our office closed its doors as we were deemed non-essential. I was off work for 3 months until I met Zareena the founder of butterfly respite.
